Claire Coffee was born on 20 April 1980 at San Francisco. Between 2007 and 2009, she starred as Nadine Crowell in the soap opera General Hospital. Her most recognizable role is Adalind Schade on the television show Grimm that she has played since 2011. Coffee also has regular roles in the series in the role of Cassie Tatum on the TV series The West Wing in 2003 as well as Janie Ross on the TV series Franklin & Bash between 2011 and 2012. She has also appeared on episodes of Yes, Dear, Cold Case, Strong Medicine, NCIS, Bones, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Psych, CSI: Miami, The League, Royal Pains, The Good Guys The Good Guys, and CSI: Miami. Claire married musician Chris Thile from Nickel Creek in 2013.
